- Autocad 2016 Import Layers
You can import most popular CAD file formats into AutoCAD, including Autodesk Inventor, CATIA, IGES, Rhino, and SolidWorks, and export most AutoCAD drawings just as easily. With complex geometry, not every process is the same, and there's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all import with CAD.
Layers (D) In terms of the Layers section (D) of the PDF Import Dialogue, you are probably going to want to choose between the 'Use PDF layers' and 'Create object layers'. The Use PDF layers setting is useful if the PDF contains the original layer information, but sometimes this is.
Follow these eight easy AutoCAD tips to get your original 3D or 2D drawings into AutoCAD.
Tip 1: Bringing AutoCAD Data into Inventor to Create Inventor Sketch Profiles.
Using the Options tab, you can use the Import option to bring extrusions and commands into Inventor as an available profile. This will keep you from having to redraw your design from scratch in Inventor. 3D solids can even be imported this way. You can turn on layers and select which geometry to bring in and which not to bring in. To learn how, see more from Infinite Skills.
Tip 2: Importing an Inventor model into AutoCAD.
To do the opposite of the above (import an Inventor model into AutoCAD), you must first create views inside of an Autodesk Inventor drawing, and then transfer them into 2D AutoCAD and maintain the links, which can then be updated.Symetri UK explains this in more detail.
Tip 3: Importing AutoCAD into Rhino 3D.
In AutoCAD 2012 and all versions since, you can export line work from AutoCAD into Rhino and create a 3D Rhino model from your 2D drawings. You need to delete some unnecessary information and linework first, but the process is actually quite simple. Dimensions, text, and information that won't be useful in Rhino should be deleted, as you want to minimize file size for your import. See how from Jason Dembski.
Medieval 2 kingdoms download. Hello.1) You said that the Pack 6 will be released in September. Surprisingly, but fact is that it's October, and the Pack 6 is still not there.2) It seemed to me that in this fashion is missing the Campaign and I have it not, despite the fact that I installed the entire set of Packs + Basic + Music, but on request 'medieval 1212 mod campaign' on Youtube I found out that the Campaign is in fashion and for a long time or is it another mod?3) I looked at your mod and I can say that it is made perfectly.
Tip 4: Importing AutoCAD DWGs into SolidWorks.
Here are two examples of how to import DWG files into SolidWorks. The first shows how to use the 'Import to a New Part as' command using either 3D curves or a model. The more complicated import shows how SolidWorks generates planes and creates several parts over the import of a complicated drawing for more than 90 minutes. Thymark shows you how.
Tip 5: Exporting Views out of Autodesk Revit into AutoCAD (Creating an AutoCAD File from Revit).
Using export settings can simplify the process of getting the desired layers, line types, and colors when exporting from Revit to AutoCAD. Follow Prokonbuild's pop-up video explanation of how to turn off the correct options for a quick-and-easy export to DWG.
Tip 6: Importing AutoCAD DXF files to CATIA 5 for 3D Modeling.
Importing 2D AutoCAD data to CATIA requires a few editing steps but can still be imported very accurately in CATIA 5. Mohammed Shakeel explains how in detail.
Tip 7: Exporting SketchUp to AutoCAD.
Many architects design conceptually in SketchUp, then end up losing any groups, components, or layers while trying to export to AutoCAD for design and creation of construction documents. This Sketchucation tutorial explains how to keep your layers, groups, and components while exporting to AutoCAD.
Tip 8: Importing AutoCAD DWGs to SketchUp Pro.
This example uses Ubisense's Site Manager, included in SketchUp Pro, to import CAD information. You need to change settings from architectural to geometry and perform a few other preparations, but your AutoCAD drawing can be imported and opened in SketchUp Pro. See how from Ubisense Support.

The Data in excel is on automatic color and arial text, once imported into ACAD as ACAD entities the data in my table does not want to change to being bylayer as the cell type is set to but instead stays on white. Sep 5, 2012I'm importing custom iproperties from an excel document into inventor using the code I've written below. I've figured out how to bring up a dialog box to select the excel file I need, but I'm completely stumped when it comes to selecting the sheet within the file. As it is now, I'm specifying the sheet in the code itself (Str. C). My goal is after selecting the excel file from the dialog box, have ilogic list all the sheets within the excel file, then be able to select which sheet I need using a radio box, list box or some sort of prompted entry.

AutoCad :: Importing Coordinates (or Dimensions) From MS Excel 2007
I am designing a RCC Dam and the shape of the dam is constant and will not change, but the dimensions of this shape are very likely to change depending upon hydraulic analysis.
I have written a program (irrelevant, but I am using MathCad 14) that performs a stability analysis of a RCC Dam (based on elevations from the hydraulic analysis) and then exports the dam dimensions and coordinates to Excel.
I am attempting to then take those coordinates (or dimensions) from Excel to create a 2-D dimensioned drawing of the Dam in AutoCAD.
I have successfully linked the Excel spreadsheet containing these coordinates and dimensions to AutoCad tables in my drawing, but I am having trouble getting AutoCAD to update my drawing as these tables update with different coordinates and dimensions.
I would like to have a drawing that is fully dimensioned (as the shape of the dam will not change), but that will update coordinates and dimensions as I pump out different dam dimensions from my stability analysis.

AutoCad 2D :: Importing Excel Data To Define Dynamic Blocks Properties
Dec 4, 2012I work for a company that makes sheet metal cabinets. Each cabinet we construct has 17 parts that all different different blank sizes and notching. I have a template for each part right now that I have to shrink or stretch to the appropriate size every time we get a custom size order.
What I've created so far is an excel spreadsheet that determines the sizes of all the parts based on the overall height width and depth of the custom cabinet that was ordered. Any way to define a parts properties with a dynamic block and get the width depth or height imported in from the excel spreadsheet to automatically adjust the size.

Illustrator :: Importing Excel Spreadsheet Into Document?
Apr 17, 2013I have a document that I would like to import an Microsoft Excel spreadsheet into.
Basically, my document is a diploma that can range anywhere from 15-250 different names and corresponding dates with those names. It would save a great deal of time if I didn't have to manually type the names and dates into their respective spots.
I have a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet that if possible, I would like to autofill the information into the Illustrator file.
Between the second & third lines of text is where I would like to enter the first column of text. It would be NAMES that go here.
Then, between the fifth & sixth lines of text is where the second column of text from my spreadsheet would go. This area would be filled with dates.
CorelDRAW X5 :: Importing Excel 2010 Charts For Editing
Oct 18, 2011I have been using CorelDraw for years (since version 2) to dress up charts generated in Excel by using copy picture from Excel and pasting (special) as an enhanced metafile. Now since moving to Excel 2010 and CorelDraw X5 it seems some functionality has changed so that most of my chart objects (symbols, lines, but not text) appear in CorelDraw as two separate objects when I view them with wireframe mode.
One seems to be the outline of the object, the other is the centreline (see below). This makes editing tedious because for symbols, I must individually delete the outline object. For lines it is impossible - basically a line in the Excel chart turns into a 'sausage' which can be both filled and outline edited. Maybe I am just missing an option somewhere to deal with this or is this some option in Excel that I need to change (re- the latter, a colleague with Adobe Illustrator doesn't have this problem on the same Excel charts).
AutoCad :: Importing Blocks Without All Layers?
Jul 3, 2012I was wondering if there is a way to import a bunch of detail drawings into my template, without all the layers that go along with the details.
See, sometimes I need to use details from other companies within my drawings, and they have crazy annotations and a lot of different layers. It would be nice if I could import their details as one big block into my template that I like to work with when doing my work. Is there a way that I can import that details block (including its color codings and such, not changing anything) onto ONE LAYER. Otherwise is there a way to create like a folder within the layer manager that I can dump all those layers?
It's just such a mess once I drop their details into my work, it would be nice if I could isolate all that stuff, yet keep everything as it looks on their files.

I am trying to insert an excel table using a datalink. If I insert the entire sheet, it includes too many cells. If I set a print area and choose that area, it will not insert the table. The first time it acts like it is going to work, but then never lets me place the table. The second attempt it just will not let me select that data link. If I actually name a group of cells, I get the same behavior as the print area. Have issues with importing excel tables? Am I missing a step?
My work flow is
Create an excel sheet & format the table.
Select desired sells, set print area.
Save & Close excel
go to annotate tab in civil 3d
select table icon
choose from data link
launch data link manager
create data link and choose range of cells as print area.
Press OK
it never let me choose insert point.
I have also tried to simply make the datalink and then run the table command with the same results.
